Patient Followup

Ask every patient how they are doing after treatment — without making a single phone call. SureMedico sends a short check-up on WhatsApp, the patient answers by tapping, and the result reaches you on your phone with anything worrying flagged.

How it works

  1. 1

    You add the patient, once

In the app, enter the patient’s name and number, what treatment you did and when. Choose a follow-up date — a month, three months, six months — and forget about it.

  2. 2

    They get a WhatsApp check-up

On the day, your patient receives a message from us in your clinic’s name and taps to begin. Questions are multiple choice in Hindi, English or Marathi — nothing to type, no app for them to install, no form to open.

  3. 3

    The result reaches your phone

The moment they finish, your phone gets a notification with their dental score, what they reported, and any warning sign that needs looking at. The patient sees their own score and is told to contact you if anything needs attention.

What the patient is asked

Two versions. The quick check is six questions and takes about a minute; the full check is ten. Each question points at a different problem rather than asking the same thing twice.

  • Toothache that starts on its own, with nothing touching the tooth
  • Pain from hot, cold or sweet things
  • Bleeding gums
  • Food getting stuck between teeth
  • A broken or chipped tooth, a filling that came off, a loose tooth
  • Swelling, an ulcer, pus, or a white or red patch in the mouth

What you get to see

A score out of 100

Higher is better. It is worked out from the answers, so two patients who answer the same get the same number.

A colour tier

Green, yellow, orange or red. A serious finding caps the score, so the number and the colour can never contradict each other.

Warning signs, pulled out

Swelling, pus, a long-standing ulcer, a loose tooth or a white or red patch are shown as their own flags rather than buried in a total.

Suggested next steps

Plain lines telling you what is worth looking at when the patient comes in. Written from fixed rules, not guessed.

How we treat your patients

  • One check per patient every six months, at most. A patient is never surveyed repeatedly, whoever asks.
  • Any patient can reply STOP at any time and hears from us no more.
  • The check never gives medical advice and never names a diagnosis. It reports what the patient said and tells them to contact you.
  • Nothing is shared with anyone but you. Patients are not added to any directory, and their number is never used for marketing.
  • It is free, with no per-message charge to you.

This one is in the app only

Patient Followup lives in the free SureMedico Android app — adding a patient, the notification when they finish, and the result screen are all there, and there is no web version of them. This page explains the feature; the app is where you use it.

FAQ

Does my patient need to install anything?

No. The whole check happens inside WhatsApp, which they already have. They tap a button to start and tap their answers — there is nothing to install, nothing to type and no link to open.

What does it cost?

Nothing. There is no charge to the clinic and no charge to the patient, and no per-message fee — SureMedico pays for the WhatsApp messages.

Which languages can my patient answer in?

Hindi, English and Marathi. The patient picks at the start, and every question and the result are shown in that language.

How often will you message my patient?

At most one check every six months per patient, counted across the whole platform, so a patient who sees two dentists on SureMedico still only gets one. A shorter follow-up is counted separately so it cannot use up that slot.

Is the score a diagnosis?

No. It is a summary of what the patient told us about the past month, and it is deliberately not presented as a diagnosis to them either. It exists to tell you which patients are worth calling in — the examination is still yours to do.

Can I try it on my own number first?

Yes. You can nominate up to two of your own numbers as test numbers in the app and send yourself a check to see both sides of it before any patient gets one.

Is there a web version?

Not for this. The website explains the feature but adding patients and reading results happen in the Android app. Almost everything else on SureMedico — jobs, consultants, courses, the marketplace — works fully in a browser.
